Dream Comes True for Harry Hammersmith & the Flyovers

It was a dream come true for Frank Dixie, managing director of PSP when he played with his band, Harry Hammersmith & The Flyovers at Stamford Bridge, home of the mighty Chelsea Football Club, at the 2009 Football Hospitality Awards.

A lifelong Chelsea fan, Frank was thrilled to be asked to play at the gig by Shirley Pinn, managing director of Destination Southampton and event manager of Stadium Experience, who organised the whole event.

Shirley said:

“I knew Frank wouldn’t let me down. His band is first-class; excellent musicians who are professional and well-rehearsed and who really know how to entertain a crowd. They went down a storm.”

Frank said:

“What an amazing experience to play at Stamford Bridge, I still can’t quite believe we did it. I have followed the Blues for as long as I can remember – what a privilege to play for Frank Lampard and John Terry. I think I can die happy, now!”

The audience was made up of event managers from football stadia from all over the country. Awards were presented by ex-Chelsea players Ken Monkou, Jason Cundy and Clive Walker. The current first team was represented by Frank Lampard, John Terry, Petr Cech, Juliano Belletti and Club Chairman Peter Kenyon.

Peter Kenyon said:

“What a pleasure to host yet another successful event here at Stamford Bridge, celebrating the success of so many winners. It was a great evening topped off with some great music from Harry Hammersmith & The Flyovers.”
